Tamara is an education and community design consultant, passionate about challenging the status quo with “respectful disruption”. Tamara offers solutions for sustainable and transformative impact through creating relevant and inclusive learning encounters and building authentic relationships. Seeking to drive change with meaning, Tamara works collaboratively with innovative leaders through project-based strategic planning and professional development training. Merging her passion for experiential education with workplace learning, Tamara coaches and speaks on a range of topics including the power of experiential education, design thinking, volunteer empowerment and understanding generations and age-cohorts (particularly Millennials and GenZ) to influence and build intentional communities of practice.
Leveraging 20+ years in the field of Jewish education, Tamara founded CORIPHERY Holistic Consulting Solutions and draws on her experience working closely with youth movements, summer camps, day schools, supplementary schools, synagogues and campus Hillels. Tamara has led multiple program redesigns guiding participants, professionals and community stakeholders through a change process that champions leadership, pluralism and peer-facilitated discovery.
An eternal optimist, Tamara is a strategic thought partner and informal mentor to early and mid-career Jewish female professionals, many of whom are former students and colleagues. Tamara holds a M.Ed in Adult Education and Community Development from the University of Toronto, a Certificate in Experiential Jewish Education from Yeshiva University and has completed certificates in leadership, coaching and storytelling. Born and raised in Toronto, Tamara lived in Israel for a short time, and currently resides in Toronto with her husband and two daughters.
