Venture: Moed is a radically accessible Shabbat-based, Rabbi-led Jewish community in Center City, Philadelphia
Innovator: Cody Greenes is the co-founder and president of Moed, which serves the primarily young-adult, Jewish community in downtown Philadelphia. Cody spent most of his childhood living in Alaska, England and California. After coming east for law school, Cody’s experience as a Moishe House resident led him to completely fall in love with Judaism. In addition to being a practicing attorney (and his role in Moed), Cody currently is a trustee and board member for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, an active and proud alum of Tribe 12, and a Wexner Heritage fellow. Cody and his wife Arielle Wernick, a native Philadelphian, are members of Adath Jeshurun, the suburban congregation that supports Moed. Cody and Arielle spend much of their time supporting local, regional and national non-profits that help children and young adults grow and connect Jewishly.
