Jenny Kibrit Smith has been advancing the work of social mission organizations within and outside the Jewish community for over fifteen years. Before joining Joshua Venture Group in 2009, she conducted field interviews and managed data collection for a consulting team contracted by UJA-Federation of New York’s Commission on Jewish Identity and Renewal to identify strategies for engaging young Jewish families. Prior to her consulting work, Jenny oversaw special projects in constituent communications and public relations at Mayyim Hayyim, an innovative mikveh and education center in Newton, MA. She coordinated and facilitated service learning projects for high school students at Brandeis University’s Genesis summer program and developed and implemented engagement programming for college students through Hillel at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Originally from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Jenny holds an MBA in Social Policy and Management and an MA in Jewish Professional Leadership from Brandeis University and a BA in International Studies and Spanish Language from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
