Lisa brings a unique blend of intra- and entrepreneurial experience to UpStart Chicago. She co-founded Corner Playroom, Chicago’s first drop-in toddler and preschool-aged play center. Prior to this entrepreneurial endeavor, Lisa helped launch new departments at Morgan Stanley NY and Chase Investment Bank London.
After returning to the U.S., Lisa refocused on her passion for helping others. Lisa worked as a substitute teacher in the Psychiatric Unit at Lurie Children’s Hospital and as a therapist at the Childhood Trauma Treatment Program while pursuing a Masters in Clinical Psychology. Lisa brings both her entrepreneurial experience and her psychology background to her coaching sessions, both reflecting on and supporting UpStarters’ growth.
Lisa has volunteered in multiple capacities in the Chicago Jewish community including JUF Crisis Line counselor, Dialogues in Jewish Life group leader and as a fundraiser for camp scholarships. When not working, Lisa enjoys spending time with her children, cycling, hiking, boogie boarding, traveling to the mountains and the sea and listening to live music.
