The Basics
Catherine is a ICF Certified Professional Coach, facilitator, and nonprofit consultant who has spent the last two decades supporting people to unleash their power as change-makers.
She began her career as a community organizer, building people power and developing leadership for issues ranging from youth empowerment to domestic workers’ rights. She brought this experience to her role as Director of the Jewish Organizing Fellowship at JOIN for Justice, where she designed and facilitated retreats, provided leadership coaching, and led community organizing trainings throughout the US.
Catherine then served as Chief Program Officer at Keshet, a national LGBTQ organization, where she designed and led Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs for hundreds of organizations and oversaw Keshet’s internal culture-building efforts.
Catherine received her coaching certification through Coaching For Transformation, is certified in Social Justice Mediation, and has extensive training in dialogue facilitation, Theater of the Oppressed, and facilitation for racial justice. Catherine is an Advisory Board member of Inside Out Wisdom and Action, and a Schusterman Senior Fellow.
Catherine has an MA in Sociology of Education from NYU and a BA from Amherst College. She lives in Long Beach, CA, with her spouse and two high-energy children.
