Originally from Albuquerque, Rena now considers Denver home. After graduating from Occidental College, she began her career in corporate communications. Shortly after, she received her M.A. in Conflict Resolution from the University of Denver. Rena enjoyed a nine- year career at Johnson & Wales University in various leadership roles. While there, she also served as an adjunct faculty member.
Most recently, Rena served as VP of Community Engagement at ThinkImpact, an international social enterprise, where she was responsible for curriculum development and stakeholder relationships. She is also the founder and lead facilitator of BOOSH, a Denver-based training company that supports “those in need of an innovation boost.”
First and foremost, Rena enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. A Wexner Heritage Program alumnus, she volunteers for several nonprofits in the Denver area including the JCC Early Learning School and Jewish Family Service. She’s passionate about connecting both in-person and digitally with various affinity groups, from Jewish community groups to working parents to fellow women entrepreneurs.
