Bringing to light

Connecting the groundbreaking work of UpStart and our network to funders

The basics

Sarah Beth is passionate about connecting resources to communities, and ensuring that UpStart has the support we need to empower others to build a better tomorrow. Prior to UpStart, she worked with an arts education nonprofit and a community newspaper to build infrastructure and resources that fostered growth in those organizations. Sarah Beth is a part of the 2018-19 Avodah Justice Fellowship, an eight-month opportunity that explores issues of social and economic justice through an inclusive Jewish lens.

How Sarah finds meaning and comes together with others

Sarah Beth finds meaning in her communities, and is grateful to be a part of a Jewish feminist collective, a group of supportive friends, and a wonderful family. She loves do-it-yourself forms of print media, and is a supporter and creator of accessible media such as zines and comic books that empower people to tell their own stories.
