Sarah Schonberg, Board Member, runs the Facebook Community Leadership Program, which supports meaningful communities with leadership development and funding opportunities. Previous to Facebook, Sarah was Program Officer at the Schusterman Family Foundation where she designed and ran the Network Incubator, a funding and training program for network leaders. Before Schusterman, Sarah worked as an organizational development consultant and leadership coach. Her clients included numerous leaders in the private, nonprofit and government sectors, the Schusterman Family Foundation/ROI Community, Moishe House, BBYO, Hillel, and Israel & Co. Before Sarah Schonberg Consulting, Sarah was the Director of Development at BBYO where she built the Friends and Alumni Network (FAN), one of the fastest growing fundraising and community engagement programs in the Jewish world. Through FAN, Sarah raised over $10,000,000 from over 12,000 unique donors in 40 communities in six years. Prior to BBYO, Sarah was as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala.
She holds an MBA from Indiana University, a BA from Michigan State University, an Informal Jewish Education Certificate from Hebrew College and a Leadership Coaching Certificate from Georgetown University. She is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation and a certified yoga teacher. In her free time, Sarah can be found hiking, reading, meditating, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family and friends.
