UpStart Colorado Teen Fellowship

By Categories: Announcements

The UpStart Colorado Teen Fellowship empowers Jewish teens to make change by creating their own social entrepreneurship initiatives to strengthen local community. Through the six-month fellowship, a select cohort of high school students develop new ideas, test their ventures with friends and peers, iterating and evolving the venture along the way. Throughout the program, Teen Fellows create an entrepreneurial community, activate creative ideas, and learn real-world skills.

Our robust curriculum provides teens with hands-on design thinking training, individualized coaching, and a team-based framework to bring their game-changing ideas to life.

Through this process, every UpStart Colorado Teen Fellow will ignite their creativity, create community, and increase their confidence. The program includes:

Design Labs

The 6-month Fellowship begins in early November and concludes in late April. On average, Fellows meet three times per month on Sundays from 4pm-7pm.

Design Teams

Fellows will work in Design Teams throughout the program to design and pilot test their social ventures.

Curriculum

Hone your skills as a Jewish social entrepreneur. UpStart’s curriculum is an innovative, engaging way to experiment with social innovation and human centered design, discover their Jewish values, and create community.

Coaching & Mentorship

All Design Teams will be matched with a Coach, hear from a variety of Subject Matter Experts, and work closely with Alumni Mentors.

Fellow Showcase

Pitch your project to a room full of community members, entrepreneurs, family, friends, and other esteemed guests at our culminating event.

The program is currently running through April 2019. To learn more, contact Yoni Buckman, Design Strategist, Denver/Boulder.

Our purpose is to enable entrepreneurs to bring bold Jewish ideas to light. We help them reach Up to people in new ways that are meaningful, more inclusive, and create a brighter future for our Jewish community and the world we share.
